Sofie Renders graduated in 2005 as master in law at the K.U.Leuven. From August 2005 until present she worked full-time as a lawyer (trainee) in the law firm Cottyn at the bar of Dendermonde. In 2008 she attended with success the master in environmental law at Ghent University. Since October 2009 she works half-time as a scientific researcher at the Environmental Law Centre of Ghent University. At the same time she continues her law practice in the law firm Moërynck en Roelandt in Brussels.
