Nicky Broeckhoven graduated in 2008 as master in law at the University of Antwerp. During the final year of her law studies, she participated in the Erasmus Exchange program at the University of Trier (Germany). In 2009 she obtained the degree of master in environmental law at Ghent University. Since September 2009, she works full time as a scientific researcher at the Environmental Law Centre of Ghent University.
